Definition
The Territorial Labour Inspectorate (Inspecția Muncii – ITM) is a specialized agency under the Romanian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Protection and Persons with Disabilities. It is the primary enforcement body for labor legislation, including Government Decision No. 905/2017. The ITM receives and manages REVISAL/REGES data, conducts inspections to ensure employer compliance, and imposes sanctions for violations, thereby playing a critical role in labor governance.
