Work Community Development Plan
A plan, drawn up in cooperation with employee representatives, for the systematic development of the workplace, including skills, well-being, and potentially equality measures.
Definition
The work community development plan (työyhteisön kehittämissuunnitelma) is a key document mandated by the Act on Co-operation within Undertakings. It is developed and maintained collaboratively by the employer and staff representatives to systematically and long-term develop the workplace. The plan must outline the current situation, foreseeable developments impacting staff skills and well-being, goals and measures for development, responsibilities, a timetable, and monitoring procedures. Crucially, it can integrate equality plans required by the Act on Equality between Women and Men and non-discrimination plans, thereby serving as a comprehensive tool for addressing various aspects of workplace fairness and development.
