Definition

The Wage Protection Program (WPP) is a critical initiative by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development designed to monitor and ensure that private sector establishments pay their employees' wages on time and in the agreed-upon amounts. Utilizing the Mudad digital platform, the WPP collects and analyzes payroll data, identifies discrepancies, and enforces compliance through a system of notifications, inspections, and penalties. It covers both Saudi and foreign workers and aims to create a transparent and fair wage payment environment.
