Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP)

TAFEP is an agency established in 2006 by Singapore's tripartite partners (MOM, NTUC, SNEF) to promote the adoption of fair, responsible, and progressive employment practices. It provides guidance to employers, offers resources, and investigates complaints of workplace discrimination and harassment, ensuring adherence to the TGFEP.

TAFEP is a key institution in Singapore's tripartite system, established in 2006 by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF). Its role is to promote the adoption of fair, responsible, and progressive employment practices among employers. TAFEP provides resources, guidelines (such as the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices - TGFEP), and assistance for employees facing discrimination or harassment. Under the Workplace Fairness Legislation, TAFEP's role is enhanced, serving as a primary point of contact for complaints and playing a crucial role in education, outreach, and dispute resolution before formal enforcement actions are taken by the Ministry of Manpower.
