Social Equality
The state where all individuals within a society have the same rights, opportunities, and treatment, regardless of gender or other characteristics.
Definition
As the overarching goal of the Costa Rica Women's Social Equality Law, social equality refers to a societal condition where men and women enjoy identical rights, access to opportunities, and treatment across political, economic, social, and cultural spheres. It implies the absence of discrimination and the active promotion of conditions that enable all individuals to participate fully and equally in society, free from barriers based on gender.
