Sexual Harassment
Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature.
Definition
As criminalized by Article 192 bis of the Labour Law for the Private Sector (introduced by the 2018 amendment), sexual harassment at work is defined as any act committed by reference, speech, act, or by any other means, that is of a sexual nature and creates a hostile or offensive work environment. It is prohibited for any employee, and carries escalated penalties if committed by an employer or their representative, reflecting the severity of the offense and power dynamics.
