Sexual harassment involving the abuse of authority or opportunities by someone in a position of command, supervision, or professional relationship.
Definition
Abuse of power sexual harassment, as defined by the Act, refers to the use of one's authority or opportunities to engage in sexual harassment toward individuals under one's command, supervision, or in a professional relationship arising from employment, job seeking, or job execution. This includes situations where a person in a superior position leverages their influence to commit acts of sexual harassment against subordinates or those dependent on their professional relationship, creating a significant power imbalance that exacerbates the harm.
