Right to Work

Article 41 of the Kuwait Constitution explicitly grants every Kuwaiti citizen the 'right to work and to choose the nature of his occupation.' This right is not merely a privilege but is also framed as a 'duty of every citizen' necessitated by personal dignity and the public good. The Constitution further obliges the State to 'make work available to citizens and shall see to the equity of its conditions.' This constitutional provision establishes a foundational commitment to employment access and fair working conditions, which are then detailed and regulated by subsequent labor legislation, such as the Private Sector Labour Law.

Article 31 of the Morocco Constitution establishes the 'right to work' as a fundamental entitlement for all citizens. It mandates the State, public establishments, and territorial collectivities to mobilize available means to facilitate equal access to employment and support individuals in their job search or self-employment endeavors, thereby ensuring economic participation and livelihood security. This right is a cornerstone of social justice and economic well-being.

As per Article 49 of the Turkish Constitution, everyone has the right and duty to work. This right is accompanied by the State's responsibility to take necessary measures to raise the standard of living of workers, protect them, improve general conditions of labor, promote labor, and create suitable economic conditions for the prevention of unemployment. It underscores the importance of employment as a fundamental aspect of individual welfare and societal development.

Article 35 of the Vietnam Constitution 2013 guarantees that 'Everyone has the right to work, to choose their occupation and place of work.' This fundamental right ensures that citizens have the opportunity to engage in productive labor and to make free choices about their professional paths, forming a crucial component of economic and social well-being.
