Reasonable Arrangements
Necessary and appropriate modifications and adjustments that do not impose a disproportionate or undue burden, to ensure persons with disabilities enjoy rights on an equal basis with others.
Definition
'Reasonable arrangements' are defined as the necessary and appropriate modification and adjustments, not imposing a disproportionate or undue burden, where needed in a particular case, to ensure to a person with a disability the enjoyment or exercise on an equal basis with others of privileges, interests, benefits, and treatment. This includes the provision of auxiliary aids and services, such as equipment, qualified interpreters, or readers. Employers are explicitly required to make such arrangements to ensure employees with disabilities are not at a disadvantage in the workplace.
