Under the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 'personal data' refers to any information that can be used to identify a living individual or an individual who has been deceased for less than 30 years. This broad definition includes direct identifiers like names and addresses, as well as indirect identifiers that, when combined, can lead to identification. In an employment context, this encompasses all employee records, including salary, performance, and contact information.
