Pay
Remuneration for work, as defined by national law, subject to the equal treatment principle.
Definition
'Pay' refers to the remuneration received by a worker, the definition of which is determined by national law. Under Directive 2008/104/EC, pay is considered a 'basic working and employment condition' and is subject to the principle of equal treatment, meaning temporary agency workers should receive the same pay as direct hires for the same job, unless specific derogations apply.
