Definition
'Omanisation' is a core national policy in the Sultanate of Oman, deeply embedded within the Labour Law (Royal Decree No. 53/2023). It aims to empower the Omani workforce, enhance local skills, and promote sustainable economic development by prioritizing the recruitment, training, and retention of Omani nationals across all economic sectors. This policy includes sector-based quotas, reserving certain positions for Omanis, and requiring employers to submit Omanisation plans and workforce data to the Ministry of Labour.
