Definition
The National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) is a constitutional commission established under the NGEC Act, 2011. Its mandate is to promote gender equality and freedom from discrimination, monitor human rights observance, investigate complaints, and advise the government on policies and laws related to gender equality and the rights of marginalized groups.
