Established under Section 135 of the Ghana Labour Act 2003, the National Labour Commission (NLC) is a key enforcement and governance body. Its functions, detailed in Section 138, include investigating labour-related complaints, facilitating the settlement of industrial disputes through mediation and arbitration, maintaining a database of qualified mediators and arbitrators, and promoting cooperation between management and labour.
