Prawo Pracy, or Labour Law, refers to the comprehensive set of legal regulations in Poland that govern the relationship between employers and employees. This includes, but is not limited to, provisions on occupational safety and health (OSH), employment contracts, remuneration, working time, employee leave, parental rights, the employment of minors and persons with disabilities, and the overall legality of employment. The National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) is mandated to supervise and control adherence to these laws.
The 'Labour Law' refers to Law No. 14 of 2004 on the promulgation of the Labour Law, which serves as the fundamental legal framework for employment relations in the State of Qatar. The Wage Protection System was introduced through amendments to this law, specifically Law No. 1 of 2015 amending Article 66, and further detailed by Ministerial Decision No. 4 of 2015, making the WPS an integral part of Qatar's broader labor legislation.
