Definition
An Inspektor Pracy, or Labour Inspector, is an authorized official of the Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy (PIP) empowered to conduct inspections, investigations, and apply legal measures to ensure compliance with labour law. Labour inspectors have extensive powers, including the right to enter workplaces, demand documents, question employees and employers, and issue orders for the rectification of violations. They play a crucial role in the enforcement of the National Labour Inspectorate Act and the broader Polish labour law framework.
