Definition
Labour inspection, as defined and enforced by Act LXXV of 1996, refers to the official governmental activity of monitoring and verifying employers' compliance with national labour laws, occupational safety and health regulations, and collective agreements. This involves on-site visits, document review, employee interviews, and the issuance of orders or penalties to rectify non-compliance. Its primary mission is to ensure the effective application of legal provisions for the protection of workers and the improvement of working conditions.
