Workers and employers can apply to these courts for the enforcement of rights guaranteed by the Act, awards, settlements, or agreements, serving as a crucial avenue for legal redress and ensuring the implementation of labour laws.

A Labour Court is a judicial body established under the Bangladesh Labour Act to adjudicate industrial disputes, hear and dispose of applications for enforcement of rights guaranteed by the Act, and try offenses committed under the Act. These courts play a critical role in ensuring compliance with labor laws, including those pertaining to wages and non-discrimination. The 2013 amendment aimed to streamline the functions and enhance the effectiveness of these courts in resolving worker grievances and enforcing penalties against non-compliant employers.
