Labor Relations

The legal relationships between employees and employers arising from dependent work.

Definition

Labor relations, as primarily defined by the Czech Labor Code (Act No. 262/2006 Coll.), encompass the legal rights and obligations that arise between employees and employers in the context of dependent work. This includes aspects such as employment contracts, working hours, rest periods, remuneration, termination of employment, and collective bargaining. The Labor Inspection Act empowers the SÚIP to monitor and enforce compliance with these legal provisions.
