Labor Discrimination
Any restriction or unequal treatment in labor rights based on non-job-related characteristics.

Labor discrimination, as prohibited by the Kazakhstan Labor Code, occurs when an individual is subjected to unequal treatment or restriction in the exercise of labor rights due to origin, social, official and property status, sex, race, nationality, language, attitude to religion, beliefs, residence, age or disability, or affiliation to public associations. Exceptions are made for differences inherent in the nature of the work or state's special care for vulnerable groups, which are not considered discriminatory.
Discrimination on the grounds of race, skin color, nationality, ethnicity, gender, age, pregnancy, marital status, religion, opinion, disability, family responsibility, HIV infection, establishment of or participation in trade union or internal employee organization in a manner that affects the equality of opportunity of employment. Positive discrimination on the grounds of professional requirements, the sustainment and employment protection for vulnerable employees will not be considered discrimination.
