Definition
An individualized work schedule refers to a flexible arrangement of working time that deviates from the standard or collective work schedule, agreed upon between the employer and employee. Law no. 283/2022 establishes the employee's right to request such a schedule and obliges the employer to provide a reasoned, written response within five working days. This flexibility can be for a limited period, after which the employee has the right to return to their original schedule, or if the circumstances that led to the individualized schedule change.
