Definition
Law 4604/2019 establishes for the first time in the Greek legal order the obligation for gender budgeting for the central government. This involves analyzing government budgets and policies from a gender perspective to identify how they affect women and men differently and to promote gender equality. It aims to ensure that public funds are allocated in a way that supports gender equality objectives and addresses existing gender inequalities.
