Gender-Neutral Job Evaluation
A system for assessing the value of jobs based on objective criteria, free from gender bias.
Definition
Gender-neutral job evaluation refers to the process of assessing and comparing the value of different jobs within an organization using objective, non-discriminatory criteria. These criteria typically include skills, effort, responsibility, and working conditions, applied in a way that does not implicitly or explicitly favor one gender over another. The Slovakian Pay Transparency Act, in line with the EU Directive, promotes the use of such evaluation systems to ensure that remuneration structures are based on the true value of the work performed, rather than on the gender of the person performing it, thereby supporting the principle of equal pay for work of equal value.
