Gender Equality Plan

A mandatory document for employers with 30+ employees, outlining measures to promote gender equality and including a pay survey.

Definition

For employers regularly employing at least 30 employees, the Act on Equality Between Women and Men mandates the preparation of an annual gender equality plan. This plan is a proactive tool designed to systematically promote gender equality within the workplace. It must include a comprehensive assessment of the current gender equality situation, identify existing problems, and detail specific measures planned for implementation to advance equality. A crucial component of this plan is a pay survey, which aims to identify and rectify any unjustified pay differences between women and men performing the same work or work of equal value. The plan is developed in cooperation with personnel representatives and serves as a living document to track progress and ensure continuous improvement in workplace equality.
