Equality Plans

Strategic documents developed by enterprises to promote gender equality and prevent discrimination.

Definition

Law 4604/2019 encourages both public and private sector enterprises to draft and implement 'Equality Plans.' These plans are intended to outline specific targets, strategies, and practices to prevent all forms of discrimination against women, including ensuring equal pay for equal work and promoting balanced participation of women and men in leadership roles. The implementation of these plans can lead to the award of an 'Equality Badge' by the General Secretariat for Family Policy and Gender Equality, recognizing an enterprise's commitment to equal treatment and opportunities.
