Equal Pay for Same Job
The right of a female laborer to receive the same salary as a male laborer for performing the same job.
Definition
Enshrined in Article 26 of the Kuwait Private Sector Labor Law No. 6 of 2010, 'Equal Pay for Same Job' stipulates that a female labourer shall have the right to the same salary given to the male labourer, if she performs the same job. This principle aims to prevent gender-based wage discrimination in the private sector.
