A breach of the principles of equal rights and non-discrimination as defined in Lithuanian law.

Definition

An equal opportunities violation, within the context of the Administrative Offenses Code, refers to any act or omission by officials, employers, or their authorized representatives that contravenes the principles of equal rights and non-discrimination established in the Republic of Lithuania's Law on Equal Opportunities and other related legislation. This includes direct or indirect discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, or instructions to discriminate based on protected characteristics such as sex, race, nationality, age, sexual orientation, disability, social status, or beliefs, leading to administrative penalties.
