Discriminative Treatment

Definition
Article 28I(2) of the 1945 Constitution asserts that 'Every person shall have the right to be free from discriminative treatment based upon any grounds whatsoever and shall have the right to protection from such discriminative treatment.' This broad constitutional prohibition is fundamental to ensuring equality in all aspects of life, including employment and pay. It outlaws any unjust or arbitrary differentiation in treatment that could lead to disparities in wages or opportunities based on irrelevant characteristics.
