Definition

As defined in Article 2 of the Federal Labor Law (LFT), 'Dignified or Decent Work' is a comprehensive concept encompassing employment that fully respects the human dignity of the worker. It mandates the absence of discrimination based on ethnic or national origin, gender, age, disability, social condition, health status, religion, migratory status, opinions, sexual preferences, or marital status. Furthermore, it ensures access to social security, a remunerative salary, continuous training for increased productivity with shared benefits, and optimal safety and hygiene conditions to prevent occupational hazards.
