Créditos Laborales
Monetary claims or entitlements arising from an employment relationship.
Definition
Créditos Laborales (Labor Credits) refers to all monetary entitlements and claims that arise from an employment relationship. This includes, but is not limited to, unpaid wages, overtime pay, holiday pay, severance payments, indemnities for unfair dismissal, and any other financial benefits or damages owed to a worker by an employer. The Uruguay Labor Process Law specifically addresses how these credits are to be claimed, liquidated, and enforced through the judicial process, including provisions for monetary updates and legal interest on awarded amounts.
