Astreinte
A daily monetary penalty imposed for non-compliance with a judicial order.
Definition
As defined in Article 4 of Ley N° 16.045, an astreinte is a daily financial penalty, set at 10 Unidades Reajustables (Reajustable Units), imposed on an infractor for each day they fail to comply with a judicial sentence. This mechanism is designed to ensure prompt enforcement of court orders in cases of labor discrimination.
