Treating someone less favorably based on their age.
Definition
Any distinction, exclusion or preference made on the basis of age which has the effect of nullifying or impairing equality of opportunity or treatment in employment or occupation. This includes both direct and indirect forms of discrimination, and is prohibited unless objectively justified by a legitimate aim and proportionate means.
